EK 1914 The "keyback" EK has arrived!

A while ago I had posted pics of this little diamond-now it has found his way into my collection-These EKs with the blued core are my absolute favorites! The "key back" looks like it has been for ever on this EK-the plate is still missing but I'm sure there are not so many of them around!

an absolute shame there is no backplate, but what a wonderful piece!

and 930 markings are not something you see everyday.

here's hoping the backplate finds its way back home!

Very interesting piece. I remember seeing one on Ebay.de very similar to

yours with a back piece. Unfortunately the opinion was that it was a put together

piece as that seller had a bunch of very suspicious screwbacks.

Yours however looks right. Nice catch!

Wouldn't that EKI be configured to mount on a Courassier breast plate.

No,I don't think so-have a look at the Mcklemburg FF cross with the same attachment system....it wouldn't make sense to try to fix it at a brest armour!

Do you have an image of the Mecklinburg FF? I'll try a search in case it's posted on the forum and I am start enough to find it...
