    Kulm

It's four letters, but the first one should start with a "C" followed by an "r" ....

I've never seen this one before. Interesting fantasy piece, or as Darrell would probably say, it ends with a "p". Since the guy was new, I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt, and the option to ask 'real or not'? Too late now.

A few Kulm Crosses from Bowen.

Type 1: Woven material with a paper backing.

Type 2: One piece painted metal.

The so-called Officers Cross. Enamelled silver.

And finally a rather interesting example fro Huis Doorn.

BTW, the total awarded according to Bowen was 12,066.

    Hello Elizarov,

Do you have any of the Kulm crosses in your collection?

Please show what you have there, in Siberia.

    Best regards,

How does one tell the year?

More importantly, as the Russians are apparently making very good copies of Soviet stuff... is this not a veeeery dangerous area to spend money on?

    Thanks

I do not know if this cross is good or bad BUT the silver stamp

is a known stamp for the city of Berlin starting in the mid 18th century.

Thank pluribus, gregM and all. Let me show you another cross from this collection. According to legend, they were exiled to Siberia from the rebel- "Decembrist". Some of them took part in the battle of Kulm.
