Do we really need to be addressed like small children? I can tolarate the English language being mis-spelt by a non-native, but this "baby talk" is beyond that. And could somebody PLEASE change the title to: "Medals of The Republic of Viet-Nam".Kevin in Deva "slowly going ga-ga ga-ga, "

On the other hand, to be completely fair (at least in my mind), I've noticed a few senior members use "cutsie" terms and words from time to time to make a point in a humorous fashion. Perhaps this is a matter of qualitative versus quantitative?Cheers Brian
Guest Rick Research
I doubt it is worthwhile continuing THIS thread. Might be best to simply start serious threads up. I'm going to close this one for that reason and split out the good illustrated parts. As Brian notes, jocularity and "insulting" banter between old, old friends often occurs (MMC ) with the relaxed familiarity of hundreds and thousands of posts over the years, and yet indeed serves a serious pedagogic purpose if it aids in adding some good natured interest among the curmudgeonly and eccentric long term denizens.
