JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Another source of info about soviet para badges will be brochure written (in french) by Antonio Carbonell "Brevets Parachutistes 1931-1991" 74 pages long
JapanX Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) But the best source of info (as for today) undoubtedly will be series of articles by Tararushkin A.N. These articles appeared in journal Petersburg collector in 2010 (issues 57, 58, 59, 60 and 62) http://pk.awards-su.com/ and in 2011 (issues 64, 65 and 66) Edited August 22, 2013 by JapanX

Chuck In Oregon Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Here are examples I picked up along the way. I think this is all of them.
JapanX Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Parachutist-sportsman, parachutist-instructor, master of sport ... Impressive set!
Chuck In Oregon Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Parachutist-sportsman, parachutist-instructor, master of sport ... Impressive set! Thank you, Nick. I'll post a better picture as soon as I can find some sort of foam board to use behind them. Just laying them on a hard surface gives a result like this. Chuck
JapanX Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Please do it Chuck (obverse/reverse) and I'll try to date them for you
Chuck In Oregon Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 OK. These are the pictures I should have posted: Some recent correspondence with Hauptmann has inspired me to get back into my collections. I'll be posting more. Thank you. Chuck

I'll add your references to my collection and maybe 1-2 of your pictures. I picked up all these badges one at a time at the Dry Bridge flea market in Tbilisi over a period of 3-1/2 years. Money in my pocket and time on my hands and that's what I do. Thank you for all your work... again. Chuck
