Just in this morning, an interesting Luftwaffe Administrative set. The interesting part is that the tabs are in cornflower blue versus the standard dark green. Talking to people with more experience than myself, the theory is that these belonged to a Luftwaffe Medical Administration Official. This branch is not listed in any reference books that I know of, so this is just a theory.

Both Angolia and Davis say that the blue nebenfarbe on the shoulder boards was for early construction officials, yet the tabs were supposed to be dark green.

Any other feedback or comments are welcome!

Another great set of tab paul  However, the blue farbe of the boards looks to be a shade off from the tabs (perhaps it's the lighting), and there doesn't seem to be button holes stitched in the strap part of the boards to secure them?

This is a learning question for me. :) How often have you observed the stitching pattern on the reverse of the tabs? It would have thrown me off causing my paranoid self to not pick them up. :) My foray into cloth items has been slow and deliberate. :) Always looking to learn.

    Hi Scott,

The blue nebenfarbe is a little darker on the shoulder boards than on the tabs. Of course, the base color is dark green.

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for your post. Yes, I have seen similar stitching on other collar tabs in my collection. I will find an example to post.

Here is an example of one of my sets constructed in a similar manner. It is for a TSD Administration Lt.

Thanks for the kind words. I am always learning new things as well... This is what makes the hobby such fun for me!

Whoops - I missed the dark green part on the boards :speechless: . Regardless - nice set.

PaulR I still believe that the TSD tabs that you show are actually for the earlier DLV, the colour is much paler than TSD and the embroidery is much thicker, reminiscent of earlier embroideries

You could be right. I did pick up the oberstlt tab as well. I do see a color difference. Do you think that the senior tab could be TSD? I dont have any DLV stuff to compare the set of tabs to.

Do you have any clues or theories about the blue admin set?
