    Oberstleutnant Adolph von Arenstorff

    Recommended Posts

    Hi gents,

    I need a little help.

Another collector asked me to help him with the list of awards the Oberstleutnant Adolph von Arenstorff got :speechless:

    Here are the known facts:

He was in the Offiziers-Korps of the Inf. Rgt. No. 83 (8.2.1887 until 18.11.1911), then he moved to the F?s.-Rgt. von Steinmetz No. 37.

He was born on 27.2.1859 and died on 13.2.1913.

The following awards are known (until 1911):

    - Red Eagle Order 4th class

    - Johanniter-Order "Ehrenritter"

    - cross for long service 25 years

    - Brunswick House Order 2nd class

    - Saxe-Ernestine House-order 2nd class Komturkreuz

    - Bavaria merit-order 3th class (???)

    - Waldeck House Order 3th class (???)

    - Romania Order of the Star of Romania Knights-cross

    - Serbia Order of Takovo Offiziers-Kreuz

Maybe not all orders are right...but which are missing? Wuerttemberg? What else?

Can anybody help me with further information?

    Thank you very much,

    Roman

    Hello,

here is the scan of his entry in the "Offizier-Stammliste des IR 83", Berlin 1903.

He is first mentioned in the 1888 Rangliste as a Secondlieutnant already decorated with the Romanian Order as his only by then.

In the 1894 list he also got his Waldeck VK 3. Klasse and more in the following years.

In the Regiments-History he is mentioned in 1911, for his 25 years of service with the Regiment. Therefore he was awarded a Honor Sabre from the "Offizierkorps".

    greetings

    eitze

PS: this is Oberst von Schell, IR 15 ...
