Gordon, thanks for posting this. Those are great pics. I wonder... is the memorial to fallen border guards still there or has it been torn down as has happened to so many communist memorials and monuments from that era?

Thanks for providing the link! There are a lot of great photos on there. Did the soldiers of the border guard get benefits with the fall of the DDR? I know that the Stassi vets dont currently get pensions or benefits.
