RAO single mounted

Hi Everybody!

My little brother Marco just added another fine single mounted RAO 4th class. This is marked J . H . W.: Do you know what that is for? I found in my files just a maker/Hersteller that might be correct if it was not for the order of the initials:

Wilm = H. J. Wilm, Berlin, Hof- und Silberschmiede

Is my assumption correct?

Hi Claudio,

I have read the Court Jewelers of the World from Jacob and it is probably J.H. Werner : Freidrichstrasse 173 Berlin. Jacob said that "on all pieces their mark was J.H.W."

Christophe is correct - 'JHW' would be Werner (see Andreas's site for more...)

On behalf of my brothers many thanks for the nice comments. The reason why my brother is not posting is that his English, although not so bad, is not fluent, especially in writing. Furthermore he's more a quiet and discrete guy than his brother!

Aw, C'mon Marco, my Engleesh is not so good either. My German, French, Italian and Lithuanian is pretty ragged as well. Come out and play!! It will be good for all of us!!
