    This is a Soviet style, Cuban class badge, worn by Officers and Ensigns.

    Exists in the classes M,1,2 and 3.

    That's right Greg, the only difference being that there is a red star on the Soviet ones and as seen on your example, the Cuban state emblem above the white class shield.

    Cuban Paratrooper badges were soviet made and i suspect these too.

    eddie i notice that in all my years that cuban medals borders badges, insignia made by soviet, italy, germany,cuban, and now i see some china made its crazy,but i also now for shure there is a factory in havana where the medals assamble too

    These are usually referred to as Combined Arms Badges. They were issued in 3 Classes. You can find the same basic design for Soviet, Cuban & Bulgarian soldiers. There may be others I have not seen.

    Any difference between the silver and the black tanks besides color?

    Hi WJT,

    As far as i am aware of the colour of the tank has no specific meaning.

    It certainly has nothing to do with the class of the badge, possibly a different place of manufacture now that the Soviet Union no longer exists.

    Cuban militaria is not easy to find. I found a great Cuban guards badge a few years back. Great stuff shown here. Lets keep posting your Cuban badges.
