Guest Rick Research
According to Colonel-General G. F. Krivosheev's "Soviet Casualties and Combat Losses in the Twentieth Century,"1,226 officers, 1,553 NCOs, and 1,200 privates were wounded "7 or more times" in the GPW.here is my closest runner up--Guards Armor Colonel I. M. Dovgy was wounded SIX times2 being severely and 4 times lightly.Again citing General Krovosheev's statistics:2,496 officers, 3,395 NCOs, and 3,234 privates were wounded 6 times in the GPW.By contrast, a total of 1,480,324 Soviet military personnel were wounded just once. Wild Card
I can not begin to guess as to who will win this contest. I do think, however, that it would be interesting to mention a fellow from the other side. Lt. Gen. Theodor Tolsdorff (Tolsdorff the Mad) was wounded eleven or fourteen times, depending upon the source.Refer to ?On the Field of Honor? by LTC John R. Angolia, vol. 1, page 101/2 (fourteen times) and http://www.thirdreichruins.com/hirschbichl.htm (eleven times).
