Paul R
Here are some tabs that I am purchasing now! If you need better scans of any particular tab, please let me know!Note the strange patina on the Engineer Major tab on the far left, third row. It led me to believe that it was initially gold. Paul R
Here is the second case of tabs in the deal. Notice the golden border piping around the tab on the second row, far right and the set on the third row, second from the left as well as the war time official on the bottom row far right. These are for the highest level of Administrative specialist. These are pretty darn hard to find. (Admin had four different levels with ranking groups... Highest, Executive, Elevated, and Lower.) The tab on the far left on the third row is for an air traffic controller..

Gary B
Paul, Great buy! As time permits you wil have to post some close ups of the highest level of the admin tabs. I don't think I have ever seen them before. As an aside, I attended the National Guun show today. Mostly guns but there were a few dealers thare with TR items. One delaer had some repro Luft Gen Officer tabs for sael. I tell you if he had not told me they were fake I would not have known. He said they were made in Europe, possibly from the same people who made the originals....scary. Gary B Edited February 5, 2006 by Gary B

Are you getting all of these? The Navigation Korps are even harder to find the Engineering Korps. What a find. I need pairs of the right 2 in the second from the bottom row.Bill

Paul R
This one caught my eye as well. Notice the different yellowish patina. It is also much heavier than the other tab. I am thinking that the thread in this one is made from another metal? Maybe silver?
luftguy
Paul,To me this is normal aging. I have seen several other pair made of this material with the same patina. At first they looked gold and I thought "General" but a closer, hands-on inspection dashed my hopes. I agree they must contain silver wire.Do you have duplicates of the wartime lt./captain engineers tabs?Bill
Paul R
Bill,I do not have any duplicates of that rank. I do have a single of the Oblt rank that is an extra!Paul
