    Pre-1897 Ulan possable Brandenburg Ulanen Reg. Nr. 3 help on unit from Chip M can anybody help with what looks like a badge on the left of his tunic appears to have some sort of cord or braid attached to it thanks Mark

    Kaiser Alexander III NCO with picklewink, EKI, vaulted, EKII and Wurttemberg Bravery Medal in Gold (plated). Walking out dress. I have the parade Rabat, riding breeches and Schrimmutze. Quartermaster stamp for the 4th Squadron.

    Thanks for the comments. I shall post a few more photos later of it's other items. I could have purchased his boots but I didn't, I should have, I still can, I guess I will. His tschapkas was not available unfortunately.

    Did the medal bar and EK1 come with the tunic?

    No, it came with three loops that would take two/three medals, I decided on those two. I wanted a bar with medals awarded early in the war since these pre-1910 uniforms were still worn for dress for a couple of years into the war. It also came with the two loops for the EKI. The Rabat also has three loops sewn on that too, in red thread. The Uhlans were known to wear their medals on the wearers right side.
