I agree... well done! Are the Soviet awards attributed to Stalingrad participants? BTW, I sent you a facebook friend invite!

    Christian,

Is the exhibit open to the public? I'll be arriving in Vienna Sunday the 15th of Feb and leaving on the 18th. I am coming specifically to spend some time at the HGM but would like to visit your exhibit if I am able to do so. Address of the building if I am able to visit?

    Regards,

    Gordon

    Dear Gordon,

it would be a honour for me to show you around in Vienna - HGM, etc. -, if help is needed.

Yes, I am in office on sunday (we are also a church ...), monday and thuesday and am rather flexible. Let's have lunch or dinner at the officers mess hall of the Military Command of Vienna :D .

If you are interested, I have also access to a well preserved, massive and fortified WW-II-airshelter in the center of Vienna, where all installations are still visible and original.

    Our adress is:

    W?rzburggasse 8

    1130 Wien (13th district, Hietzing)

There is a link with a map of our location: http://www.mildioz.at/index.php?option=com...5&Itemid=32

We have also the renowed "Hall of Honour" of the Austrian Armed Forces in our establishment. Have a look at another facebook-photocollection:

    Christian,

Congratulations on a truly impressive display. It is unfortunate that

more such exhibits are not presented to the general public.

    Gentlemen,

Gordon Craig visited me on Thuesday the 17th of Feb and we spent some nice time together at my small Stalingrad-exhibition, in company with the military historian Dr. Marcello La Speranza in an unique, wet and cold Nazi-bunker in the center of Vienna (I hope, that Gordon will post the photographs, he has done inside the bunker here at GMIC  ) and visited the HGM http://www.hgm.or.at/eng/ .

    Christian,

Thanks for taking the time to spend a whole day showing me some interesting things in Vienna. I will certainly post some pictures of the bunker soon. I need to sort out the photos I took during my 5 hours at the HGM on the 16th first then I can concentrate on the bunker photos.

Good photos on Facebook of the Stalingrad exhibit. Unfortunatley, photos can not do just to the quality of your Nevsky.

    Regards,

    Gordon
