JapanX Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 This one is korean. Order of the Plum Blossoms.
Alex K Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Hi, Thanks, I did find out eventually, that it was Korean, (By accident), maybe a stupid question butit looks heavily Japanese in appearance, maybe a stupid question, was this deliberate? Regards Alex K
Paul R Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 There were a lot of cultural exchanges over the centuries between the two countries. Korea was a part of Japan for a long time, so I am sure that the Japanese influence could be seen in things like military award design.
paul wood Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Basically after the Russo-Japanese war Korea became a Japanese puppet state and was finally annexed in 1910. Hence the Orders, which were made in Japan, have a striking similarity to the Japanese issues Paul
