webr55 Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 (edited) The back. I am not sure: Does #2 (Spanish MVO) indicate an officer? Edited November 11, 2017 by webr55
Stogieman Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I agree with Bob, the bars from this period are quite colorful to the Legion Condor guys.
landsknechte Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Nothing very special, just yer basic Legion Condor bar:Nevertheless, it's quite nice. I still haven't been able to get my hands on one of my own.--Chris
Paul R Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Nevertheless, it's quite nice. I still haven't been able to get my hands on one of my own.--ChrisNor have I! Very desirable bar!
Panzerpionier Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 The back.I am not sure: Does #2 (Spanish MVO) indicate an officer?First, that medal was the same for all ranks.Second, perhaps it was a custom in your country to name national military awards with German names, but in Spain the correct name of that medal was (and still is) "Cruz Roja del M?rito Militar", and not "Milit?rverdienstorden".Just my 2 cents.
Jacques Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I like these bars with spanish ribbons. here is another one with the "Medalla Militar" ribbon.
Jacques Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 and a longer one, still with the scarce "Medalla Militar" ribbon.
Stogieman Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Very nice Jaques.... second bar a "sew-on" type??
Paul R Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Jaques,Is that a lifesaving medal ribbon on the long bar next to the EK2?
Jacques Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Jaques,Is that a lifesaving medal ribbon on the long bar next to the EK2?Yes, it is the life saving medal ribbon bar. this bar was attributed to Hannes TRAUTLOFT
landsknechte Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Yes, it is the life saving medal ribbon bar. this bar was attributed to Hannes TRAUTLOFTNot only is it attributed, it looks like you've got the same bar that he was wearing in the photograph. Doesn't get much better than that. The fact that you've got the bar of a RK-winner, general, and fighter ace is just icing on the cake. --Chris

Jacques Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 another one with the "medalla militar"jacques
