M Hunter Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 (edited) Gents, Thought i would post this up for discussion, was on eBay recently, think it was re-listed. A very interesting combination of the Prussian War Aid Cross and the Jerusalem Cross! Would this be classed as a non-combatant medal bar? Would appreciate any information that can be provided regarding this decoration being bestowed upon a German. Any members got this medal on a medal bar? Best regards to all. VtwinVince Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Hi Matt, That is an interesting spange. I have a large Godet bar with this decoration on it, it is slightly different from the one you posted and something I bought as part of a larger purchase. It was shown in a previous thread by Noor, perhaps someone with more computer skills than I can dredge it up.
Komtur Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Sorry, but this kind of Jerusalem cross is described by Sauerwald as a copy. Note the differences to an original one with a gold center:
RAO Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Komtur have right, that piece is a clear copy and the bar is waste. Regards, Mike
