hirevr13 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 With that much time in the Luft wouldn't it be interesting to know his story?
Naxos Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 With that much time in the Luft wouldn't it be interesting to know his story? That is what I thought - February 1945, an experienced, well decorated Flak soldier serving in an Infantry Regiment (not even Artillery) seems a waste of talent and training.
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I did not have the medals, but this was a representation of the awards of a guy I had the documents to... He got the General assault badge, according to the Wehrpass for ground fighting with his light flak, attached to an army division... The Luftwaffe did not count those towards the ground combat badge. There was an Army General assault doc, but the award was not entered in the Wehrpass or Soldbuch... so i dont know is the Luftwaffe forbade the wearing... Anyway, this is what he would have had....
Paul R Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Another great grouping. It screams LW Field Division to me.
