Depending upon what the first medal is it may be possible with much looking thru old ranklists.

The first medal appears to be a Württemberg silver Carl-Olga medal which was founded on 16 June 1889.

    Magnificent bar!

    Great bar, but odd bar.

I have some doubts we will find him in military rank lists.

    Anything available on Württemberg civilians?

Yeah... I thought like Sascha; it must have been a Württemberg citizen (see first red cross medal) who served in the 1870-71 as combattant, but he wasn't necessarly an Army Officer (see the BZO2 w/o X). Very nice bar, maybe of a "Sanitäter" or later civilian doctor?

    Ciao,

Using "the Bretzendorfer" I could not find one single Württemberg officer who received just BZ3b and RSt3.

    So probably a civilian.

He may be listed in the Württemberg State and Court books.

    I think so....

the only problem is that we have no date to start the search.... I can`t go through every year with hundred of pages.... I went through the complete DOA 1905 last night and checked all the silver COMs but no match....
