J Temple-West Posted February 10, 2011 Share Posted February 10, 2011 Hi Dan Strange, the eagle is reminiscent of an early Polish pilot’s badge, or pre-war German flying club insignia, but isn’t either of those as far as I can tell..... certainly not an official piece. I can only think that the addition of the eagle with swastika was in some way a patriotic gesture as a remembrance of the retaking of the Sudetenland. FrontlineAntiques Posted February 10, 2011 Author Share Posted February 10, 2011 Hi Paul No can do im afraid - the photos were all i had from the seller (bar one of the case), and it is no longer on offer as he sold it for almost double its asking price yesterday! Someone obviously knows a little bit more than me about the odd bird! I am a little miffed as it was on hold for me, but what can you do?
