Ed_Haynes Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 (edited) If real, rare. This is covered in the correct thread.I shall merge the three fragmented threads. Before posting, it is always good to look for previous discussion. It is probably here already. Edited January 18, 2007 by Ed_Haynes
Ed_Haynes Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Please show scan of reverseBob, do you want to see, specifically, USAF's, or any reverse of this type?
Bob Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Bob, do you want to see, specifically, USAF's, or any reverse of this type?as many as possible - saw your pics but perhaps USAF can also add a scan?
Ed_Haynes Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 OK. The prevailing consensus is now that these are good.
Ed_Haynes Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 There are some interesting documented deputy badges over in the thread on the awards to Jamtsaa Jantsan and I'll just refernce these here, rather than needlessly cross-post.See: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=14478
Ed_Haynes Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 An interesting early deputy document from Tov Aimag, the province surrounding Ulanbaatar. The scan looks more brilliant than the booklet really does.
Ed_Haynes Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 And a loseup of the recipient, a rather stern-looking truck driver (P05) with lots of ribbons.
Bob Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Just noticed we were still missing a scan of this one. Note: no more star on top of the soyombo.
Ed_Haynes Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Thanks for this, Bob. How could we have missed it? But it is QUITE uncommon!
fjcp Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 (edited) Here is one that's for sale right now.Item#310009135725I have some questions about this one though... does anyone else have issues with the followingThe serial number looks weird, the MD mark is weird (different), the finial is less pointy, the second and third symbols are weird (the rings of the symbols are filled), not the same smooth curvature of the flag on either the top or bottom...Sloppy attachment of screwpost...although this could be a repair... a few other little issues...Anyone agree???CheersJCps. forgot to mention the $1355 asking price..... Lingqi Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Hi JC, these photos currently are posted by anohther potential buyer in a chinese collection forum. Some believe this is a easy-to-tell fake, they mentioned the issues as you pointed out already; others like me are positive for authenticity because it mighty be a different variation due to the high S/N. I saw a Higher Assembly badge from my friend. it might be interesting!
Ed_Haynes Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Even with such poor pictures, this one doesn't look to me to be at all good.
Ed_Haynes Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Document for People's Great Assembly to the famous Mongolian poet Begz Yavuukhulan (1929-82, so this dates from just before his death).Outside.
Ed_Haynes Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Inside 2And the final stanza from his famous poem "Where was I Born?":"I took my birth in the blue lands of Heaven,in the stories of Mongolia's famous past,in the flame of liberation, shining in the homeland of Chinggis Khaan. And, lost within the wrinkles of the golden earth,I took my birth in the blue lands of Heaven."See: http://depts.washington.edu/ccalt/database...here-Was-I-BornAnd his lyrics have now moved into current Mongolian popular music. He may be better known now than when he lived? Edited July 15, 2008 by Ed_Haynes
fjcp Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) Nice Doc. Ed...Here is a recent addition of mine....Not as interesting as Ed's doc but it hasn't been shown yet so here goes...A Doc from 1977 which means this should be for a B03.Enjoy.JC Edited July 22, 2008 by fjcp
Ed_Haynes Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Nice. Pending checking on numbers and dates the Battushig numbers/dates should be take as "fluid". A lovely one, though!
Bob Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Cross-reference link to a large group with loads of deputy documents which I'll be reviewing in detail in coming days.http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5226&st=80
