Uncategorised Ribbon bar with schaumburg lippe cross

Hi all,

This bar came in today. The crown on the 2nd ribbon throws you off but once you look at the back, it looks like it was replaced at some time in the past...

Any thoughts on it, and on possible identification?

The second ribbon is most likely for the Hohenzollern House Order.

Yes, very nice bar. Wehrmacht Heer service, 12-17 years by 1939. Not in Reichsheer. It will be difficult, but when the new Hohenzollern HHOX comes out, maybe there is a slight chance of ID'ing him...

I found two close matches in my notes, but each was off by one. One had the exact same combination but also had a Prussian Crown Order 4th Class. The other had the exact same combination except a Wehrmacht Dienstauszeichnung 1.Klasse (two gold eagles).

Interesting .... could our guy have the bar made before being qualified to wear the dienstauszeichnung 1.Klasse?
