clarkmilitaria Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Hello, Can anyone help me to determine if the piece pictured is original or not? Thanks in advance.
clarkmilitaria Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Excellent, thanks! Any ideas of an approximate value? My research would suggest about $900-1000, what do you think?
birkie Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 looks original to me and in very good condition, approximate value comes in around $ 1,000 give or take. cheers.
Paul R Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 That is the high end dealer price, and it will sit for a bit. Collector to collector, I would personally sell it for about 800 dollars.
pvon Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Hi I would like to see more and bigger pics! Just to see condition more! Looks like a nice one! Prices are down some for visors! $800.00 seems sorta cheap for officers! PVON

I agree more with the $800 figure, even though dealers may ask a higher price. The medical waffenfarbe is not that highly valued, as compared to some others, thus the price reflects it. I, too would ask for more photos.
Jock Auld Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Possibly an new eagle there Normally removed post war then rebadged for sale? They tend to use bullion with bullion? Just a thought though and not for sure, would need a proper look over in the hand? I would have thought about €300 since the local dealer is normally around €400ish. Jock

Jock Actually, a combination of bullion & metal insignia is quite common. As to price, if this cap is in decent shape, and not an NCO upgrade, 300 to 400 euros would be a good deal, IMHO.
