GODISHIGH Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hello, i got this medal in a grouping and i havent held or examined one of these medals in a while and was a little concerned about it. It is probably original but i would like any other opinions on it. Thanks john 1
Laurence Strong Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hello Looks like a good one to me. From my end it appears to be a zinc made one with a good ribbon. Nice catch :cheers; Larry
JBeltram Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Hello, The Luftschutz medal is a good one. It appears to be zinc. Jody
tyanacek Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The flawed area, circled in the image below, is interesting. I don't think I ever saw that before. Also, the tops of the letters in "FÜR" are pretty messed up. Best regards, Tom 1
ChrisKelly Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) My latest acquisition. This is an early "lightweight" (non-zinc) type. The ribbon is sewn together at the top, but missing the pin on the reverse. The suspension ring is not welded nor is there a hallmark on it. Edited February 9 by ChrisKelly
