JapanX Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 According to the statues yes (orders for "офицеры Военно-Морского Флота" and medals for "матросы и солдаты, старшины и сержанты, мичманы и прапорщики"), but it doesn't make them interconnected Order of Ushakov = navy order of Suvorov Order of Nakhimov = navy order of Kutuzov Medal of Ushakov = navy medal for bravery Medal of Nakhimov = navy medal for military merit
Paul R Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I see. That does make sense. Didn't Naval members also receive the Bravery Medal and Combat Merit Medals?
JapanX Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 Yes, they are. Let me put it this way: medals for bravery and for military merit are "general awards" (i.e. both army and navy) while medals of Ushakov and Nakhimov are "specialized awards" (i.e. strictly for the navy).
