Soviet Whats that man's rank/position?

One of my today's pick ups.... a great photo of some kind of "komandir" from 1942. Can someone please help me with his position and name behind please...

Sergeant major (master sergeant if you wish ) Kochurov Nikolay Kirilovich.

These are all Estonians who served during the WW2 in the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps.

Especially I like the portrait with the man who has Order of Glory and Victory over Germany. First, on the back the note indicates a little town where originally I am from. Also dedication is pretty deep "In memory of difficult days, dark times".
