Prussia General with RAO 1 X el ?

Hi all, just got this photo in the mail , it says RAO 1 X mit el on backside ?

I just wonder if that is coorect ? Or is it a 2nd class ....

Of couse if anyone could tell me who the General is , that would be a nice christmas gift

it is a 2nd class. The 1st class crosses are much bigger.

Does anyone know how many RAO 2 x el that was awarded during 1914-18 , what I can see from Ludvigsens book there was not many awarded before WW1 , but I suppose during the war there was a lot more.

gives the number of PRAO2mEuSchw awarded as 205 and an additional 9 PRAO2mEuSchw am zweimal schwarz- und dreimal weißgestreiften Bande. Also, 101 holders of the PRAO2mE received swords to their award.
