Kornel R. Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Odulf that's an incredible picture . my congratulations Kornel
Odulf Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Thanx Kornel. I like the crisp quality of these press photos - the majority of these were never published...
Kornel R. Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) Odulf I general I like ... don't like - I love old photographs since I can only remember it . I can watch them like hypnotized , it's like time traveling . I'll never forget when being a boy my grandma gave me couple of German WW I photos with her father and grand father ... I am not even able to express my happiness back then . best friendly regards Kornel ps. Odulf , please check out that thread , there are unbelievable photos from DrakeGoodmann collection - I'm impressed with some .... OMG !! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/60386-germans-with-captured-weapons/ Edited January 3, 2014 by Kornel R.
Mervyn Mitton Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I count 9 guns - what would they be worth today ? Mervyn
Kornel R. Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Hello Mervyn ! I would say something between $ 4000 and $ 7000 each ... friendly regards Kornel
Paul R Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 One of a kind photo. Some of those MGs show some significant damage, almost as if they took direct hits by some arty(bent pieces of solid metal).
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I am guessing the MG08/15 somewhere between 3500 and 4500... the MG08 with their sledge over 10 000
Theodor Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Speaking of captured toys... Soldiers from the Bulgarian 34th IR at Doiran
Kornel R. Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Theodor , that's a very interesting picture . It's a shame to say , but living relatively so close ( I'm from Poland - ex. West Prussia ) and not knowing almost anything about Bulgarian Army and war on that theatre .. best regards
MG1918 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Nice - see thread Captured Weapons - WWI below. Mark
