--dj--Joe Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 :anmatcat: Hmmmm? I can't think of a badge the women wore that was not available in pinback and stickpin form. Thought of the NSV, NS-Volkswohlfahrt but I have seen a pinback version of the membership badge. Plus they had the brooches. Scour the in wear images. --dj--Joe
--dj--Joe Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 (edited) :Cat-Scratch: Has anyone seen or better yet have a Womens RAD Honor pin (was the honor pin considered an honorable service membership pin)? If in stickpin form there is your answer. I have a ghost of a thought that far back I saw an example but do not recall the pin set up. --dj--Joe Edited April 7, 2012 by --dj--Joe
Scowen Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 I've no idea why it seemed to be this way either. it appears that pin/badges that were unisex came in both, but those specifically intended for women were in brooch form only. I've never been lucky enough to find the RADwJ Erinnerungsnadel Joe, so can't comment on that one. As many of you know I have a host of images showing pin/badges in wear, but it is usually impossible to be able to make out whether it is a stick or pinback fixing. There isn't a problem with the stickpin in the attached pic, & on this link http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/5140-ns-studentenbund-badges/page__st__40__gopid__495137 a nice shot of a pinback badge. But usually you just can't tell what fixing they have. Cheers Don
--dj--Joe Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Hello, I find myself in need of assistance. I purchased a Reichsverband Der Wirtschaftsleiter membership pin, (as seen on page 2 of this thread), however I can not recall nor find specific information as to the organization. Even though I know Don has told me at least twice. I looked up the definition of Wirtschaftsleiter but too many variables and things do tend to get confused in translation. Mine is also by Rob.Neff Berlin W57 --dj--Joe

The Vela I think was an older group that was either a sister organisation or maybe sat above the RdW (I'm not fully sure of the connection), it stood for "Vereinigung der leitenden Angestellten in Handel und Industrie", again roughly the "Association of Executives in Trade and Industry". Cheers Don
Mijke Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 You are da man Don!!! A literal font of knowledge....thanks for the info since I too have one of them.
--dj--Joe Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Thank you Don. I appreciate it for the third time. This time I will write it down. I wonder if Neff had a monoply on these org. pins? I have not observed another maker. --dj--Joe
Scowen Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Very nice indeed!!! Thank you for showing it. Cheers Don
J Temple-West Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Deutschnationaler Handlungsgehilfen-Verband (DHV) Reading up on them, It would seem that this union was anti everything...anti-Semitic, anti-democratic, anti-liberal…dunking biscuits in a cup of tea, no doubt…it must have been fun at the meetings.
--dj--Joe Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Just took a turn down memory lane. My wish list still has more items than my collection. --dj--Joe
Mijke Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 And I did the same --dj--Joe! It is good that the threads are kept for us to go back over and see. I just may post a few stickpins later that aren't on the thread. What special things are on your wish list? Mike
--dj--Joe Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 The wish list is constantly changing. Top of the list is to win a lottery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The DAF in wear picture is very nice. --dj--Joe
Scowen Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 Sorry for my late reply, been away for a few days.... Nice pin Joe, is it new? Thanks for posting Don
--dj--Joe Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 No, not adding much new. Have had it a couple of years. I was digging through old image files. Joe
--dj--Joe Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Something new. Broken pin but not too much of a distraction. No markings. --dj--Joe
--dj--Joe Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 If someone would be so kind. What is the correct title of the above pin? My research materials are lacking. Regards, --dj--Joe
Peter J Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) Joe, pin for civilian wear, active LW personnel. The silver version was for "Luftnachrichtenhelferinnen" Edited February 14, 2017 by Peter J
