Chris Boonzaier Posted August 22, 2014 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Capitaine Pierre Joseph Romain Rochas, vicomte d'Aiglun Officer in the 108th Infantry regiment he died on the 22nd of August 1914 while attacking the village of Nevraumont, On this day, the 22nd of August 1914 the French army lost 27 000 men killed in action... As i had been planning for some time, I visited the village today, 100 years after his death... and took a little something with me to photograph.... he never made it into the village back then... but in a way he did today....
