Dear All,

I have come across this rather puzzling Hohenlohe Knight's badge, which has many features (including the motto) of the Order of the Phoenix. The bird however looks more like a pigeon than a phoenix and the monogram on the reverse appears to be different from that normally encountered.

Any help gratefully received.

years ago, the forum went through an upgrade, and unfortunately many of the attachments did not "upgrade" automatically. on some old threads the pictures have to be processed manually in order to be included in the latest version

That Hohenlohe badge is a beauty! I don't know much about these, but it might be French made?
