Signalcorps45 Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Hello to everyone,I picked this up at a show in Ohio. I did not see anything I really needed or wanted at first. I did notice a Bavarian Merit medal with a crown that I did not have. I went back to the table that had the Bavarian Merit medal to look at it again. As I looked at it, I saw this Widows/Next of kin Cross of Honor. I had never seen anything like and thought it was fake at first, but decided to take a chance and buy it for $30. I showed it to a very good and knowledgeable friend and he was amazed at what I had found. It is a brooch mounted Widows/Next of kin Hindenburg Cross that measures 1 and 1/4 inches in height and 1 and 1/4 inches in width (3.2 cm by 3.2 cm). Pics are attached.Dean

Ralph A. has one also. I turned the first one up a at Summit County gun show for $15! I still like it. Definitly a smaller cross than the normal one. I'll look for the old thread. It should still be here. Nice obscure find!

CRBeery Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Dean,I did find one at the Akron show not Berea. I always thought it was funny having an RC aircraft field directly behind a gun show. Just seemed like AA fire was an eventuality. One of the two in my thread is the one I found there. If memory serves it was the one that doesn't match yours. I dug up a few nice things there.
