jaba1914
I would say MEZ1 EK2 MEZ2 unknown medal (probably a DA) DSWA DM with a lot of bars kind regards Alex Edited March 28, 2016 by jaba1914
HeikoGrusdat
I think it is the DSWA medal with 5 or 6 clasps... if he got not both MEZ for DSWA N°1 would be the GMVK for ww1 , normally worn in the buttonhole but here mounted on the bar - not 100% shure about that.... dond
That would be my thought as well. Nice pic. If that bar was to surface I wonder how many people would say it was a put together.

jaba1914
because he don't have the EK1 on the chest, I would say it is the MEZ1 first on the bar. Kind regards Alex

Kind regards Alex I agree with Alex, no EK1 no Militärverdienstkreuz and both the MEZ2 and the cross are from the same metal, so it can only be MEZ2 and MEZ1. Chris Boonzaier
Could it be a MEZ1 from GSWA, and a MEZ2 from some small skirmish in DOA for instance?
HeikoGrusdat
Maybe but then he should have the colonial medal too.....or.....it is only the colonial medal and no dswa....but with these many clasps , dont know....would make it even better
ccj
Does he have a button on the collar? I was thinking of his rank verses years of service he should have by the time of the photo.
