Ralph A
The cross. I suppose I could have taken greater care when snapping this, but you've seen them before.
Ralph A
I suppose, it would be too much to ask for it to have a maker's mark...

Guest Rick Research
Oh, hiiiiiiiiiiiim!Joseph (ph ophishally) R?ckl was born 1897, commissioned Bavarian regular army Leutnant 25 May 1916. In April 1918 he had the MMO4X.Alive 1926. animal
Ralph A
MMOXies? you mean these? I looove MMOXies!
Guest Rick Research
Yes, but no Crown for R?ckl. I had a flip through "Bayerns Schwere Artillerie" but did not turn him up in the section for I. Bn/Fssa 3-- that only listed Battery COMMANDERS, not all officers. The split up war units usually printed more detail, so if he shifted units, may turn up more on him. I assume he mailed his EK home to his mommy, since he was too young to be married.
