bigjarofwasps
Just came across this medal, not seen it before. Thought it might be of interest? http://www.nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Crime_Agency_Long_Service_and_Good_Conduct_Medal Has anyone got one in their collection? Craig
Its only been going for 6 years. Hardly long service. If they are counting their job service, give them the job medal.

This chap for example............ http://huddlehub.co.uk/articles/0717/former-intelligence-operations-director-of-national-crime-agency-joins-cumbria-police.html

Dave Wilkinson
I don't suppose it will be too long before they introduce a long service medal for the Border Agency. I think that's their current name, although its difficult to keep up. They keep on changing it, and their uniform etc ! Dave.
bigjarofwasps
PCSO’s as well, perhaps?
Craig
What happens when it gets disbanded as it surely will, when the next government takes charge. Exactly like what happened with SOCA, NCIS and NCS?
Tony Farrell
Then it will become a scarce and desirable award for collectors who specialise in such areas. It would not be without precedent.

Norfolk Constabulary have scrapped their entire compliment. The CC stated that when they were introduced, they were a good financial option. However, over the years their salary has increased to the extent that they are now not much cheaper than a recruit Constable. As a result of the cash saved he has been able to recruit 80 probationers. I visited London recently and was amazed to see PCSO's walking around in threes, and on one occasion there were four of them chatting on the corner of a street! The Met. obviously have far too many, with not a lot to do. Dave. Edited February 27, 2019 by Dave Wilkinson

bigjarofwasps
Not seen one of these since. Wonder if it’s worth while getting attached to them just before you 20 years and qualifying for this medal, instead of the Police one?
bigjarofwasps
Has anyone seen any further examples of this medal? Not aware of any coming onto the market. Wonder whether, this medal will also include the 30 and 40 year bars like the police LSGC?
