UKR -
Hi. Please tell me, did such a sign exist or is it a modern work? It looks like silver, hot enamel.
Matthew Macleod
I must say I rather like the piece. Never seen one before but its construction reminds me of period swastika pins.
UKR -
The sign is interesting, but it is strange that there is no description anywhere.
Matthew Macleod
How do you mean? Like anther one on the internet explaining what it is or markings on the actual badge?
UKR -
I mean that there is no photo, description of appearance, time of creation, etc.
Matthew Macleod
Did you try online archive sources? Like Bundesarchiv, NAC, etc. I'd start with Wessel's funeral or its anniversaries as a search description. Some of those pics are good enough quality to make out small details like a pin or a badge. Good luck!
Gilles
Wouldn't silver have a mark?
Matthew Macleod
Not necessarily.
Adlerhorst
I think that it is a fantasy item. In correct German the date would be 23. 02. 30 or even 23. 02. 1930 and they would have mentioned the first name HORST, too. Also the fixing system is not believable. I would go along with Adlerhorst, that this piece is a modern production and not one from that time period.

Eric Stahlhut
the fixing system is totally believable, it is found on all kinds of badges from that era (and earlier) what is the size?
