    Who is Khrushchev's person?

    Recommended Posts

Dear gentlemen, when I recently browsed the photos, I found that there was a gentleman beside Khrushchev who was smiling happily, and I wanted to know what his name was or his profile. I found that Khrushchev had him in most corn photos. . .

    Hello!

I believe the person is Roswell Garst, the owner of the corn farm.

Just as he promoted the Virgin Lands Program as a solution to the grain problem, so Nikita Khrushchev touted the expansion of corn cultivation as a solution to the livestock problem. “There will be no communism if our country has as much metal and cement as you like but meat and grain are in short supply,” he remarked in early 1954. To increase the supply of meat, Khrushchev sought at every opportunity to popularize corn as a fodder crop.
