graham Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 It would be great to get some comments on these two combat Anhalt Friedrich Kreuz's with differences of the crowns, leaves, lettering and dates:
Deruelle Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Hi Graham, The first cross you have is similar to mine. For me it's a textbook medal In the Nimmergut's Deutsche Orden und Ehrenzeichen, the second medal you show is a variant Christophe
graham Posted July 2, 2020 Author Posted July 2, 2020 My non-combat Friedrich Kreuz, any comments welcome.
chuck Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Hi Deruelle, As I have the variant cross does Nimmergut state who the manufactures was and if that is considered an award piece or a period second piece? Thanks, Chuck
saschaw Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 We could only speculate who made the variant cross; Nimmergut doesn't name a certain maker. The usual suspects from Pforzheim, Lüdenscheid and Berlin come to mind. These crosses are considered to be private purchase wearers' copies, contemporary or probably rather from the 1920 or 1930s...
