Utgardloki Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) I recently acquired this nice picture of a MEZ 2nd class recipient. He appears to be a leutnant, oberleutnant or hauptmann. I wasn't able to read what's on the epauletts. It was taken in Frankfurt an der Oder. He's wearing: MEZ 2nd class Red Eagle order 4th class (maybe 3rd) crown order 3rd class (maybe 4th) ? long service maybe? ??? 1866 medal ??? ??? centenary Edited August 3, 2020 by Utgardloki
dedehansen Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Hi, No. 4 could be Landwehrdienstauszeichnung 1. Klasse No. 5 could be Hohenzollernsche Denkmünze 1848/48 No. 7 not sure Chinadenkmünze Kind regards Andreas
webr55 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 No. 5 should be the 1870/71 medal. Looks like non-com version to me.

Leutwein Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 (edited) Sorry, misunderstanding. So please delete my posting here Regards Edited August 6, 2020 by Leutwein
Glenn J Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I think he maybe rather problematical to identify. His epaulette insignia cannot readily be ascertained plus the fact he is retired (probably for many years) as evidenced by the “außer Dienst” bridles on his epaulettes. He will not therefore be listed in any army list at the time of this photograph. Regards Glenn
