Chris Boonzaier Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Just behind the German lines at Verdun there was a soda water bottling plant.... a Number of years ago in a deep bunker at Verdun I found 3 bottles... still almost full, sealed with metal caps..... I put silicon over the caps to protect them... If I knew i was going to be hit by a buss in the morning, I would drink them, just for fun.....

Bayern Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 I have read about the theme. but never see even in photo a WW1 German Soda bottle . Seltzer . Great Chris !
Chris Boonzaier Posted December 13, 2020 Author Posted December 13, 2020 The funny thing is, I still drink Selters today! ... there are nudreds of different bottled water companies in germany... Selters was a pionier and back then even though there were other companies, "Selters" became a generic term for sparkling water.... Here are a couple of examples of the official bottles... the oldest and newest.....
