                    trying to get to grips on an awardee of the 1870 EK 1st class, he is listed as number 296 in the roll ........ but ids his name Flodher or as mentioned Flocker any ideas please.

    Vince no i did not it came from a Jeff Finlay ? but don`t think he had it for long ... but i believe it has had a few owners...... ?

    Here is some info on Floeckher, and a painting of him. This material came from Eric Ludvigsen many years ago, so I'm not sure of the sources for this material.

    Wow and thanks Vince,

                                             a lot of food for thought here ! ? i had believed he was reported missing on by regt. 06/08/1870 ? i did not know that he existed after this date so lots of good information and a picture !

    This is great, and so interesting! I would love to see the comments (corrections?) on the left side of the first page (Soldatisches Führertum, Kurt von Priesdorff/ Band 8, 254 ff., Nr. 2587).

    Yes, a beautiful estate which has fortunately survived the ravages of time. Deutschritter, I will get a better photo of those notes from Ludvigsen.
