Stogieman Posted April 28, 2006 Author Posted April 28, 2006 It looks kind of like a Soviet Thomas The Tank Engine Badge! ;>)

Guest Rick Research Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 All it says is "ProfUnion of Workers of R.R. Transport of the USSR."Very weird enamel colors, if scan is accurate. That "yellow" red
Gerd Becker Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 All it says is "ProfUnion of Workers of R.R. Transport of the USSR."Very weird enamel colors, if scan is accurate. That "yellow" red Yeah, i thought the same. And the green!!!
Chuck In Oregon Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 That is one heck of an interesting badge and one that I have not seen before, either. I have a number of RR badges and items and I would have that one had I ever seen it.The enamel isn't quite unique. I'm referring to the style and colors. One of my favorite badges is the early "Friends of Radio" badge. Both badges have similar shades of blue, light green and white, on an earth with longitudes and latitudes background.I am no badge scholar, for sure, but the train does look a little cartoonish. "Tommie the Train Engine"? Good one.I think it's a nice addition to your collection if you collect RR.Chuck
