graham
I believe this type of ring dates from 1798 until 1918.
tifes
It´s 2nd Class Silver Bravery Medal Franz Joseph I, dated from 1866 to 1914. Some of these medals as "leftovers" could be awarded in early period (1914-mid 1915) of WWI to the enlisted soldiers and NCOs. 2nd Class Silver Bravery Medal was also awarded to the long-serving NCOs for good conduct of the their duties (so not necessary for a bravery in combat) till 1914.

Elmar Lang
If the medal is not struck with the "A" mark, it's highly possible that it was awarded earlier than 1867. Best wishes, Enzo (E.L.)

scottplen
Seems to be some kind of punch marks on rim ? Hard to see ? Looks like a face ? Edited March 17, 2022 by scottplen
Elmar Lang
...a face?... well, silver medals distributed after 1867 were struck with a tiny "A" within a circle, usually on the rim's area close to the suspension. Best wishes, Enzo
scottplen
Hard to see may just be a ding ? Or someone testing it for silver maybe ? Edited March 18, 2022 by scottplen
Elmar Lang
Mine, was just a suggestion on what to look for; a picture of that detail on your medal might help.
