Johnny R Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Hello, trying to identify the ribbon/award on the right. Thank you.
VtwinVince Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Maybe something unofficial, veteran's association? Can we see the reverse of the bar?
Johnny R Posted June 14 Author Posted June 14 Hi thank you for responding. Here is the back, no clues there aside from the early looking mounting base.
Stogieman Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I would agree, most likely a veteran award, private organization, unknown to me. Have not seen this ribbon before
VtwinVince Posted June 14 Posted June 14 It's a pretty bizarre Trapetz, and I'm not keen on the thread. Have you blacklighted it?
Johnny R Posted June 14 Author Posted June 14 It is being mailed to me so not in hand yet. The mount looks 100% but will have to wait to UV test it etc.
Herman Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Wrong country, wrong period, but the ribbon of this Belgian Medal came immediatelely to my mind. The Medal of the Armed Resistance 1940-1945. Not a match offcourse 😉 regards Herman
Bernd_W Posted June 15 Posted June 15 And wrong colors obvious. But the middle stripes seems indeed somehow faded out. Looks like some slight red is remaining.
Johnny R Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 This example has faded to look very close- https://www.relicmilitaria.com/product/belgium-resistance-medal-medaille-de-la-resistance-1940-1945-circa-1940-45/ 1
Ulsterman Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I would bet a regimental jubilee medal. Schrock’s book does not have many ribbons in it, but my money is on IR 21 1913.
