cybercat Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Sold at auction for 3000CNY (375€) . Anyway , price wasn't high
VtwinVince Posted September 27 Posted September 27 The only thing that looks even remotely good about this piece is the ribbon. And that's repro as well.
CRBeery Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Are these still made? I know this order is still available to be awarded/purchased.
VtwinVince Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Probably, as that loony 'Prinzessin von Anhalt', or whatever she calls herself, is probably still awarding them.
Schießplatzmeister Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Hello, Now the Anhalt Royal Household lineage has been mentioned, can someone explain to me why the PLM was awarded to this recipient: http://prinz-frederic.com/DE/index.php/unsere-familie/hausorden-uniform
speedytop Posted October 1 Posted October 1 This was a self-award like the other decorations on his “uniform”. Uwe
Bernd_W Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Indeed the military version, so I guess: He fought some Pimp wars in the 80s or before.
Bernd_W Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Its not even a joke: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frédéric_Prinz_von_Anhalt#Early_life
ChrisKelly Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Thanks to Schießplatzmeister and Bernd_W. That was interesting. An order of Albert the Bear, from the Duchy of Anhalt... I always wondered how it is that all the kings, princes, dukes, barons and margraves all abdicated in November 1918, along with the kaiser, and yet these people insist [with the press's encouragement] on using imaginary Walter Mitty-ish titles. There are no legitimate "nobles" and "royals" in Germany today. It's not a monarchy, and hasn't been for over a century. Here's an image of the culprit mentioned by Schießplatzmeister... Bernd_W Posted November 11 Posted November 11 In Germany stuff like Graf or Prinz and vom or von became part of the last name in 1919. While in Austria for example, these parts of the name were completely forbidden.
