Jock Auld Posted February 4 Posted February 4 (edited) Guys, as stated above. I have never seen a minitaure that is convex but every day is a school day! Rich Edited February 4 by Jock Auld 1
VtwinVince Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Nice private purchase cross. I've never seen that particular mini before, looks very nice.
dedehansen Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Hi Rich,, here is mine and the recipient Kind regards Andreas 1
Jock Auld Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Guys, it was a snag, he thought he had the Queens gold, with an EK2, a minden cross, and Ehrenkreuze trio, but his description was all fuked up and after a few days I had a closer look and thought , despite his strange description it might be ok and it was. Sadly I didn't get the rest, which was the trio and a silver wound badge. You win some you lose some! Rich 1
Bernd_W Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Well, a "minden cross" would be the "queens gold". https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mindener_Kreuz
Jock Auld Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 (edited) Yes, but he had an EK2, Mecklenburg Kriegsverdienst cross and a Ehrenkruetz fuer Frontkampfer. I will put up a picture because it is an example of a little knowledge being dangerous.I will post his descriptions too. I got it wrong, not Minden but Mecklenburg! Edited February 16 by Jock Auld
Jock Auld Posted Sunday at 22:19 Author Posted Sunday at 22:19 For the sake of completeness. He was going to drive to Hamburg to a militaria expert to have this confirmed as being in the region of €16k. I saved him some time and fuel money. 1
VtwinVince Posted Sunday at 23:48 Posted Sunday at 23:48 Who knew the EK came in gold, silver and bronze?
ChrisKelly Posted Monday at 01:44 Posted Monday at 01:44 (edited) (Seriously, that is a beautiful group.) Iron Cross in gold, silver and bronze... For... Erster, zweiter und dritter Platz? Edited Monday at 01:45 by ChrisKelly 1
91-old-inf-reg Posted Monday at 06:41 Posted Monday at 06:41 Clearly his expertise is superb! I’d listen to him and jump at that offer, he uses bing to set his prices! that ribbon has yellow in it! Obviously gold thread!
Jock Auld Posted Monday at 14:33 Author Posted Monday at 14:33 The would was a bog standard silvered over iron or brass. The EK1 and minature were listed as EK1914 doppelt verleirung or some such rubbish, both pinned to the EKFK ribbon. I spoke with him on the phone and linked him to an identicle spange for Euro 130, I think that upset him. Like I say, I saved him a trip and some fuel money.
