Not the sharpest pic but still nice. All belonging to 1 mother. Unfortunately missing 1 booklet for 1 of the 2 small medals.

How were these medals earned? Was it by the number of children birthed?

That is a spectacular and rare grouping!!! I have never seen another complete set like this! nice find

Quoting PMD:

- "mothers who gave birth to and reared 5 children ? the 2nd Class Motherhood Medal"

- "mothers who gave birth to and reared 6 children ? the 1st Class Motherhood Medal"

- "mothers who gave birth to and reared 7 children ? the 3rd Class Maternal Glory Order"

- "mothers who gave birth to and reared 8 children ? the 2nd Class Maternal Glory Order"

- "mothers who gave birth to and reared 9 children ? the 1st Class Maternal Glory Order" (PMD states 8 children for the 1st Class, as for the 2nd Class, but I believe this is an error)

- "mothers who gave birth to and reared 10 or more children ? the Title Mother Heroine"

There are obviously more stuff on the Regulations for these awards, but basically, as the number of children is concerned, that's how it worked.
