Stogieman Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Ed, just wonderful. These pieces are each beautiful in their own right...... but as a "group" display..... breathtaking. PS: Check the Mongolian Forum thread with photos "in wear".... there's Choibalsan wearing a type 1 Interior Ministry Badge!!!
Ed_Haynes Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 PS: Check the Mongolian Forum thread with photos "in wear".... there's Choibalsan wearing a type 1 Interior Ministry Badge!!!There's a closer-up photo of "Big C" wearing that same badge get-up in Dr. B's book. Have added it to the referenced thread.
Dolf Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 (edited) Ed,Wow! Very nice collection indeed! Specially those pieces I don't have myself, such as A 25.1 (or is it A 25.2? the one posted yesterday on another thread, right? 1st piece, far left, 2nd row, 2nd pic) and A 26 (the piece to the right of this one just mentioned) and D 02 (3rd piece, left to right, 1st row, 4th pic).Btw, I see you have two Medal for Unselfishness (1st and 2nd pieces, far left, 2nd row, 3rd pic).I have one, mine is A 40.4 I believe, as it is not numbered.Which ones you have? Can you please post closeups, front and back of these two, please? Thanks in advance.Congrats once again!Dolf Edited February 14, 2006 by Dolf
Vatjan Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 I can't get enough of these, thanks for sharing Jan
Stogieman Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 No Type 2 "Internal Ministry" egg? Igor just raised his prices on these again... His pricing policy leaves me totally baffled!
Gerd Becker Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Fantastic Mongolian collection, Ed Its a slippery slope...I blame you guys, when my girlfriend asks
Ed_Haynes Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 (edited) Over the next few days, I'll be adding some updates to my Mongolian collection. These will be things not shown in this thread before, though they may well be elsewhere on the forum.Groups and similar things: Edited April 9, 2006 by Ed_Haynes
Ed_Haynes Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 (edited) More . . . singles: Edited April 9, 2006 by Ed_Haynes
Ed_Haynes Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 Many of my specimens of these are shown on the relevant medal-specific threads, but here are some others, cased.
Ed_Haynes Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 More . . . and some did not photograph well. Let me know if you want close-up scans of anything.
Ed_Haynes Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 More . . . and some NIBs here too (as throughout).
Stogieman Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Well on your way to a "comprehensive" presentation Ed. Very nice!!
Ed_Haynes Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 More . . . . I have held out all the "school diamonds" in a (probably futile) effort to make some sense of them before posting.
Ed_Haynes Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 A few more . . . .Not attempting the aimag badges now. Need to ponder these and maybe reorganise Battushig??
Michael Johnson Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 That's not a Morass, it's the Golden Ho(a)rd(e).
Bob Hunter Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 (edited) I enjoy Ed's displays and his aliteration. Some of those items deserve close ups. Edited May 14, 2006 by Bob Hunter
