It is not easy to find the LII versions, certenly the one between 1873 and 1900 when there was only one class. The Art 4 is not only given for war actions but olso for currage and work in extreemly difficult situationsWhen you have a palm on it it was given for bravery in war time Edited June 18, 2006 by g_deploige

Guest Rick Research Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I just got my first Belgian ribbon bar today. Thanks to Ulsterman! 1) Military Decoration for long service with chevron2) Foreign Operations Medal3) UNPROFOR Medal for Croatia 1992-1996:
Ulsterman Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 So-with the chevron;15 years (+) service? This ribbon bar represents a hard working NCO who served from @ 1980/5-2000 or thereabouts?
Tim B Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Thought I would bring this thread back from the dead as it really helps out newbies like me, plus the referenced site is great! Here's my first one; a nice 2nd class and if I did my homework correctly, a nice Albert I (1910-1934), Double A, Type 5 example. Tim
Tim B Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 And the best part, it cost me $3.55!! Now, that's what prices should be! Tim
Gldank Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Way to go! I never got any of mine that cheap! Where have you been shopping? James
Tim B Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Well, they aren't all that cheap. But, I guess you get what you pay for. Here's another one that I really like! Tim
Tim B Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 The case shows "2nd Class", so not sure if the Article 4 had the same cases as the long service awards, but the case is fitted for this type medal. Tim
