EK2 awarded to Feldwebel Wilhelm Schmedlevin of 16. Kompanie, Fallschirmj?gerregiment 6 in January 1945, (in the Aachen area?)
Two documents for EK2s awarded almost within a week of each other to Fallschirmj?ger for the fighting on the Lower Rhine in March 1945.
SS-Unterscharf?hrer Joachim Radeke of SS-Regiment "Deutschland" was awarded the EK1 on 28 January 1943. His IAB document can be seen at http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1874...mp;#entry180530
SS-Panzer-Grenadier Gerhard Wagner of SS-Panzer-Division "Hohenstaufen" was serving on the staff of SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Ausbildungs- und Ersatz-Bataillon 16 when he was awarded the EK2 on 2 October 1944.
At the time of the award, Hohenstaufen had just finished its part in the bitter fighting during the "Market Garden" operation at Arnheim. The document was signed by Harzer.
Definitely some great docs, thanks for showing them!
