    1. Apart from in Gordons book I have never actually seen a "double edge"motif on an EK1 case before.Very nice though, wouldn't mind one of those for myself! Nice K&Q as well BTW does the insert come out?...is it marked at all? Cheers Dave
    2. Steinhauer und Luck is 4. Dave
    3. Here is another for the BWB,nothing special but it has a nice stamp. Dave [attachmentid=4351]
    4. I couldn't pick out a favourite EK2 or even a favourite EK,I like them all! Here are a few of my "crosses" that I like the most...sorry about the KVK's and EK1's Dave [attachmentid=4350]
    5. Hmm,very unusual. Its definitely a standard KO made EK2 but I have never seen one with the silver marks(crown and moon) before or one with an 800 mark in that position. Nice cross though!! :food-smiley-004: Maybe Gordon has seen one before? Dave
    6. Nice Darrell,VERY nice mate! :food-smiley-004: Dave
    7. As you rightly say,the case is a good one :food-smiley-004:...a nice "D&B" Dave

    9. Hello all, I'm not having much luck trying to find out who signed this Ostv?lker doc, does anybody recognise the sig? Cheers Dave [attachmentid=3324] close up [attachmentid=3325]
    10. The left cross in Jans first post is the "classic" Floch with the "loose" bottom to the 3,I must say the other cross has a good obverse. They all have the characteristic short Floch pin to the reverse. They all have a low date as well, although some originals also have low dates eg. W?chtler & Lange EK's(mm 100 and L/55) [attachmentid=2781] Tony,I will try and get you a Floch.....I think you need to study one in the hand! Dave
    11. Thank you Francois for your detailed explanation,it has answered my question perfectly! :food-smiley-004: Cheers Dave
    12. Hello all, I have a question for you Luftwaffe experts! Lets say a pilot of a bomber earned the bomber clasp in gold but then transferred to night fighters.Would he carry on wearing his gold bomber clasp until he had the required number of nightfighter missions for a nightfighter bronze clasp or would his bomber clasp be exchanged straightaway for a gold nightfighter clasp? Cheers Dave
    13. I agree with Darrell, they look like Steinhauers to me as well! Dave
    14. I was watching a programme the other week about WW2 tanks and a few old WW2 British tank crewman were talking about the Tiger. They were asked which tank was better, the Tiger or the Sherman. One of the old vets said "If a Tiger saw you first, then you were dead!......BUT if you saw a Tiger first......then you were still dead!!!" All of the Brit crewman agreed they would have rather fought in a Tiger! Dave
