Hmm,very unusual.Its definitely a standard KO made EK2 but I have never seen one with the silver marks(crown and moon) before or one with an 800 mark in that position. Nice cross though!! :food-smiley-004: Maybe Gordon has seen one before? Dave

The left cross in Jans first post is the "classic" Floch with the "loose" bottom to the 3,I must say the other cross has a good obverse.They all have the characteristic short Floch pin to the reverse. They all have a low date as well,although some originals also have low dates eg. W?chtler & Lange EK's(mm 100 and L/55) [attachmentid=2781] Tony,I will try and get you a Floch.....I think you need to study one in the hand! Dave

Hello all, I have a question for you Luftwaffe experts! Lets say a pilot of a bomber earned the bomber clasp in gold but then transferred to night fighters.Would he carry on wearing his gold bomber clasp until he had the required number of nightfighter missions for a nightfighter bronze clasp or would his bomber clasp be exchanged straightaway for a gold nightfighter clasp? I was watching a programme the other week about WW2 tanks and a few old WW2 British tank crewman were talking about the Tiger.They were asked which tank was better,the Tiger or the Sherman.One of the old vets said "If a Tiger saw you first,then you were dead!......BUT if you saw a Tiger first......then you were still dead!!!" All of the Brit crewman agreed they would have rather fought in a Tiger! Dave
